The LE5 is a 2.4-liter, 16-valve General Motors (GM) Ecotec engine, not a Honda engine, with a compression ratio of 10.4:1 and a displacement of 2,384 cc. It features an aluminium block, a chain-driven dual overhead camshaft system, variable valve timing, and electronic throttle control, producing around 160-170+ horsepower and torque. This naturally aspirated, port-injected engine was used in various GM compact and midsize vehicles, including the Chevrolet Cobalt, HHR, and Malibu, and is known for its improved fuel economy and torque compared to its predecessor.
